    Adventure Made Easy

It's out there. It's waiting for you. You just need to be there and the adventure takes care of itself. I've been traveling and adventuring in the outdoors since the late 1970's. Back then nobody had GPS, rooftop tents, or solar electric systems. I used to call it "car camping". All you needed was food and water, a sleeping bag, and a map. That's still the case. Add to that a desire for adventure and a little imagination and a whole world of amazement and wonder is waiting for you.

Key milestones in our overlanding adventures

My first overlanding vehicle was a 1966 Toyota FJ40 that I acquired in 1976. But I have gone camping in a 1969 Mustang, a 1984 Toyota Supra, a Ford Pinto, it doesn't have to be what would be commonly considered an off-road vehicle, probably the vehicle you have will work (as long as it wont leave you stranded!).

It has been my pleasure and blessing to have enjoyed traveling to many wilderness adventures since the late 70's. In that time I've experienced adventures in Saline Valley, Sespe Creek, Kennedy Meadows, the Arizona Strip, Toroweap, Anza Borrego, Valley of Fire, Big Bear, and many more wonderful places.

    More coming soon......

    Saline Valley

Here's how the turnoff for Saline Valley looked in the early 80's

    Hogan in Saline Valley

One finds all sorts of wonderful things Overlanding. Imagine living in one of these in this barren wilderness.

    Saline Valley Hot Springs Source

I understand that they have put a fence around this opening to the earths core. But in the 80's you could walk right up to it.

Water crossing in the woods near Big Bear Lake. The FJ 40 was was quite the improvement over camping out of my 1969 Mach One. But I made that Mustang work as a camping vehicle for a year or more.

    A Journey of Discovery

Overland travel is the experience of exploring new destinations by land, allowing travelers to immerse themselves in the journey while discovering unique landscapes and cultures. It involves planning routes, engaging with local communities, and enjoying the freedom of the open road.

Great news is that I am currently funded and actively looking for a vehicle!
